Columbia 30 Sportboat

Tim Kernan designed sportboat dual purpose racer cruiser.  Built in 2005.  Columbia quality with resin infused vinylester construction.  This is one of the few Col 30's with a carbon fiber keel and carbon fiber mast.  Displacement 3900 lbs. Draft 7.0 feet with a retractable bulb keel for trailering.  Engine is a Yanmar 9.1 HP diesel.  Electronics include:  Standard Horizon GPS and VHF.  Tacktick wireless system.  Jensen marine stereo. 2001 Aerodyne 38 ‘Single Malt’

Hull #12.  Navy Awlgrip Hull with fresh white Awlgrip nonskid. Original owner- new in 2001. Fresh water boat since new- Lake MI. Always stored indoors with the mast down. PBO Synthetic backstay new in ‘09. Tack-Tic micro wireless instruments- new in ‘09. Raymarine ST-6002 Auto pilot. 2:1 Main halyard. Harken main traveler new in ‘11. Spinnaker sheets + tack line were new in ‘09: Samson 3/8 warpspeed w/ tylaska shackles. Alpine Marine stereo with JL Audio marine speakers. Single Malt had extensive structural work done in 2009 by Torresen Marine in Muskegon MI. Keel + rudder were removed, overturned the boat and replaced the entire balsa core of the boat from waterline down with core cell + epoxy using a vacuum bag technique. Boat has a 10 year hull warranty backed by Torresen Marine. Single malt also received a brand new composite rudder at this time.
