A few weeks back, good friend and friend of the site, Billy Bob Boyer had said that he would be doing Key West on one of the TP 52's. Billy Bob has written some refreshingly unique perspectives for us on a number of races, and we were looking forward to his take on KWRW '03.

So you can imagine my surprise when Billy Bob said that he didn't even sail in the regatta! Not because he didn't want to, rather because he had been uninvited. Why you ask? Because he has written for Sailing Anarchy! Seems the boys on J-Bird are a bit thin-skinned these days after their Pacific Cup debacle, and because Billy Bob has written about some of his past experiences onboard, they no longer want him onboard. Mind you, Billy Bob has purposely not written about the storm trysail incident, ever, and any information that we received about their Pac Cup Screw Up came from other sources.Still the association with SA must be too close to the bone.

Funny how the guilty often like to blame others for the mess that they made, isn't it? And apparently V5, the other TP that he has sailed on, "forgot" that he wanted to do the regatta with them, and also didn't invite him to sail. Again, the curse of SA?
