Paul Cayard, Inc?

We're sure every sailing site in the world will be peeing all over themselves to post the new Cayard/Disney VO 70 pics, and while we too have done it, we're not quite so star struck as the other lap dogs.

It isn't so much the unimaginative paint, the lame graphics or the washed out mainsail lettering of the new Black Pearl VO entry that we find underwhelming. In fact none of that means much of anything other than it certainly does not look very impressive and certainly not very Disney-like.. No, what is interesting to us is what is found at the Paul Cayard World Domination website: That Cayard Sailing Inc. has been appointed to manage Disney's VOR entry. What, its not enough to be the skipper - Cayard Sailing Inc. has to be announced as the "manager?" And exactly who and what is Cayard Sailing Inc? Cayard and a couple of his overpaid lackeys like Kimo Worthington? We're pretty sure "manage" in this instance means Cayard Über Alles of every possible detail. It while it is probably smart to put together a very tight project together like a race around the world, it sure seems to come off a bit anal. But then, not much about this, or any Cayard project for that matter, looks like much fun. But what the hell do we know - he'll probably win the damn thing, emerge a richer and bigger star than ever, and we'll continue to look like the douchebags we are!

Speaking of fun, when visiting the Paul Cayard World Domination site, Paul Revered informs us he likes to "give back to the sport" by giving us information such as his biography, sailing achievements and keeping "fans" up to date on his latest projects. Wow - his "I Love Me" website is "giving back to the sport"? I'm sure we all feel touched...
