Wacky Utah If there is a stranger place to sail, The Great Salt Lake, in a stranger state, Utah, we haven't heard about it. A bizarre piece of water surrounded by a bizarre Mormon populace, there appears to be some strange vandalism going around the GSL Marina. We talked to this guy and it seems that there is some weirdness going on. Good Times. Hello GSL Sailors, It saddens me to be writing this e-mail; however, I need your help. I took True Colorsback out to the GSL Marina April 2, 2005 and it didn't take long for one of our fellow sailors to vandalize her. This sailor friend of ours went in the shadows with the cover of darkness, either Thursday, April 21st or Friday, the 22nd and vandalized True Colors by throwing paint remover on her. This senseless act seriously scarred her beautiful finish. What kind of person could do such a thing to such a beautiful boat? Probably the same kind of person that is drilling holes in boats, cutting fuel lines, poring fiberglass into winches, cutting sails with their knife, melting newly installed wind instruments with their lighter, cutting furler lines so that the sail will unfurl in high winds and shred. I could go on and on but I think you get the point. This person is part of our sailing community and for some reason is not very happy and takes his/her anger out on our beautiful boats. This sailor is a terrorist and needs to be put behind bars/ If you remember, we almost lost two lives a year ago from holes being drilled into boats. Therefore, I really need your help in catching this sailor, I mean terrorist, and I hope you all do too. This terrorist may have slipped up and told you about some of the things he has done and for some reason you still consider him or her to be your friend and do not want to turn him or her in. Please ask yourself if you really want a friend like that. If the answer is yes then you are no better then him or her. If the answer is no then please call Detective Bryan and tell him what you know or call me or mail me an anonymous letter and I will see that the Detective gets it. Send it to: Brad
