We all know one cannot read too much into the first race results for any new boat. And while the JS 9000 is not just any new boat - in our estimation it represents a potential breakthrough for a new phase in the sportboat revolution - the very first race for a JS 9000 in Europe was on Saturday September 7th in Switzerland.

Here is a brief synopsis provided by the ever-talented Paul Burnham from JS:

Wind: conditions: 6 -8 knots
Fleet: 30 boats

And the elapsed time results:

  1. JS 9000 1:48:32
  2. Modulo 105 2:01:06
  3. BB 12 2:01:23
  4. Asso 2:04:44

We are happy.

Something called a Modulo 105 finished second.
