This from our friends in the Far East:

The Asian Sailing Anarchy fans will be sailing this new weapon in the King's Cup (Phuket Thailand) this week. It's a 43-footer called Pla Loma, a custom boat designed originally to the IRM rule by Reichel-Pugh, and redesigned to fit the IRC rule by Mark Mills -so a bit of a bastard. It was built DK Yachts of Malaysia. It looks pretty nice.

See? People do race things like IRC, even though to most of us the closest we come is reading about it in Seahorse! Regardless, we're suckers for good looking boats, and this one qualifies. We'll hope to get a report on how it went fairly soon.
