If IMS is Dead......

...How come people keep building IMS boats? The truth is that certain pockets of the world do have active IMS boats, just not very many of them. This is the brand new Farr designed Orlanda, just finished at Goetz and launched last week in Italy. They hit 19.5 on their first day of sailing and won the first regatta they entered in Italy. It is an IMS 53 footer for the IMS 500 Class. IMS boats are becoming like F-1 cars, very fast to a rule, but starting to look very much the same
