Attack of the Pod!

Here are some of the latest pictures of the new pod arrangement on the JS 9000. According to to Paul Burnham, head know-it-all from JS, "This is the new cockpit control console. The photos show the plug with some fittings sitting in place. All lines now run aft and the pod incorporates the foot chock."

I know that a lot of you have been wondering what's going on with the boat, and Paul gives us a bit more update as well, "As you know we have made a few upgrades/modifications/improvements to the JS9000 including; new keel fin, additional ballast, new bulb, new rudder blade, new tiller, new cockpit control console etc.

These alterations were made in the longer term interest of the boat and the owners and obviously required a number of new mouldings and loads more work.

However, the final result is an uncompromised race ready flyer that is likely to set new standards in contemporary yacht design (and I didn't even have to pay an advertising exec. for that lot!).

We can also happily report that the hulls and decks are being constructed at the rate of two each week. So at the moment we have a mini-stockpile of boats while they are all fitted off with new keels etc. Although the changes have taken longer than planned, all signs point to the JS9000 becoing an unprecedented international success."
