MORC Madness

Nothing better than a regatta report after a few rums! Enjoy.

No, it's not just a blue moon; the long distance race on Fri for the MORC
Intl Regatta at Annap was marked by a 20-mile tour of the Ches Bay under
sunny skies and (guessing, no cool electrix on our boat) 12-15 from SSE and
the usual Ches current after the big rains in PA. But, cool, tho the humid
index hi, yer un-named correspondent is back at the EYC dock by 1430... to
see the contentious MORC under the tent slurp up a good another couple kegs
after the one's they enjoyed at the reception party on Thurs.

Omigod, Fri and Fun Time:.won't say the name of the geezer sailmakers
threatening fisticuffs.oooh, what a HA HA. And the judges thought it would
be an easy weekend to get points and shirts. They are still sweating. We were
making wagers if anyone was going to jail...most likely suspect had his kid
drive him home...?

But...oops...see the result for day 1 at www.morc.org and all the boats in
Div A & B --- most races don't count for that day. I'll tell ya why but it'
ll cost ya...

So, Saturday, given Pussers sent down a few cases of rum, they sent us out
on a bunch of W/L today in 15-18, gusts to 20, lulls to 12, (I asked the guy that has Ockams) with a strong swell from the south. We had H #1, but a lot of blades up on the fracs. Again, rock solid 180-195, with the tide running
out until about 2. CB sailors get it, the detergent action, specially up by
Tolley. HOO HAH, we rockn & havn fun today!

4 races. 4 2-mile weather leg races x 4---up/down/up/down-finish/collapse.
MORC C ruled. Easy Go crushed by S2 7.9 (was 4 bullets until jury sed bad
boy fer some bad boy tang), who's beat by Einstein (G&S 25)' So B
division, HOO WHOO, ole man Muller puts a hurtin' on B division,
ouch-ouch-ouch-I still have the bad taste in my mouth from Mr. Chips, Remedy
will be looking for trouble tomorrow. MORC A slug or slub fest, Invincible
put a rap on some of the Mumms, but the boyz & girlz from the Shore are
contenders and Mr S not out of the photo.

Tent party after everyone crawled in [Dunning quote the best, "I'm all beat
up and my crew hates me." -me: Bob, did ya kiss and make up?" Crew in
background-aw, we'll jest git ya tomorrow-looking at Mr d and making kissing
sound and gesturing towards their private areas.??" ]

Anyway, huge party with steel band music. Awesome Pussor's Painkillers
thanks to Pusser's, great dinner catered by Adam's Rib-no one went hungry
tonite. Eastport Yacht Club great hosts.still had space for out of town
boats thanks to our cool members.

Another 3 races tomorrow, just to make sure whoever makes ibuprofen is rich,
but the forecast is 10-15, hmmm , in my world I'd like to see the LIGHT #1
for a change,

But you didn't hear it here. www.morc.org
