Mexorc

I can not stand it any more.  Didn’t one of the sailors write in about the complete fuck up at Mexorc?  The regatta was to be scored in Americap (which completely sucks) and at the skippers meeting the race director not to be named (Frank Whitton, same guy who un-invited DC a couple of years ago) said that he thought the ratings may be out of line (no shit) so he may change the ratings after we sail (That is not a typo he actual planned to fuck up ).  So after 2 races in the regatta he did change the ratings,  then after 5 races he changed the ratings of a few other boats.  This all was retroactive.  But it gets better.  Pendragon sailed poorly in the first two races changed classes for the rest of the regatta and was scored average points for the first two races.   There were international judges at this regatta that did nothing. 

I think if you ask around you will find that no one was happy with the flip flopping of ratings.  Can you imagine how you can sail when your scores go to a 1,1,2,1 to a 3,2,1,3.  You never knew how you did until the trophies were given out.

The sailing at the regatta was out of this world good and the organization short of this one guys was great.  I would hate this regatta to go away because one guy is a complete control freak and an idiot.

I know this is not a big regatta but this type of story is what I come to Sailing Anarchy for.  Keep up the good work.
